Measure your pasta correctly
Allow 80-100 grams of pasta per person according to your appetite or a little more if it is a one-dish meal.
Panzani Tip
To make your life simple, Panzani has given a scale of measurement (1 measure = 100 g) on most of its packs. This way, you can prepare the amount of pasta necessary for your meal without any problem!
The right amount of water!
Do not hesitate to use a lot of water for perfect cooking. Let's say about a litre for 100 g pasta. The pasta will be cooked more uniformly and will have a more delicious texture!
Panzani Tip
To add taste to your pasta, you can also add some flavoured coarse salt or a stock cube to the cooking water. A hint of flavour in a single step!
Faster cooking
To quickly boil the water and reduce your preparation time, Panzani gives you two simple and practical tips:
Panzani Tip
1/ Pre-heat the water in an electric kettle before decanting it in the saucepan. 2/ Add water right at the beginning as salt speeds up the water heating and put a lid on the saucepan.
Plunging the pasta in water
When you add pasta to the water, its temperature goes down and it stops boiling. Increase the heat so that the boiling restarts quickly and the cooking is not interrupted and your pasta does not stick together. Then reduce the heat to a medium level so that the water boils constantly.
Panzani Tip
Adding oil in the cooking water is of no use! To make your pasta non-sticky, it is enough to keep an eye on it and keep stirring it regularly.
Cooking time
When is the pasta done? This question has divided experts around the world for years!
Panzani Tip
You can trust your own taste and try a piece of pasta during the cooking. You can also follow the instructions given by Panzani on all its packs and select your preferred way of cooking: al dente, firm or even deliciously melting. It is indeed up to you!
